Jelen is the beer brand of the Apatinska pivara in Apatin, Serbia, whose story reaches back to 1756, when the Viennese imperial chamber founded the Imperial Brewery. Production stopped in 1935 over outdated equipment and restarted after the Second World War. After Interbrew in 2003 and Star Bev in 2009, the brewery has belonged to Molson Coors Europe since 2012. The brand's golden pale lager, Jelen Pivo, carries its name.
