Belgian craft brewery founded in 1982 by Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts in the small Ardennes village of Achouffe. Known for bottle-refermented ales featuring an iconic gnome mascot. Acquired by Duvel Moortgat in 2006 while continuing independent brewing operations. La Chouffe is their flagship — brewed to the same recipe since founding, spiced with coriander and refermented in the bottle.
