Villacher Glockner Pils
Glockner Pils is an unfiltered, hazy lager the brewery calls a Kellerpils, named after the Grossglockner and first introduced as a brand in 1974. Barley and a share of wheat malt are brewed to 11.7 degrees Plato. It pours pale gold with a fine, stable head. Delicate floral hop notes recall alpine meadows and fresh-cut grass, while the palate is rounded, fairly full and fresh, with soft grain. The bitterness stays mild and gives a balanced, gently drying finish.
