🌍 Denmark · Dark Lager · One of 23 Dark Lagers in hopIQ

Tuborg Julebryg first appeared in 1981 and has its own tradition, J-dag, the evening in early November when it arrives in Danish bars. Brewed with liquorice among its ingredients, it is clear and chestnut brown under a beige, creamy head. The nose shows liquorice, pastry and roasted nuts. On the palate caramelised malt sweetness takes the lead, rounded off by a light bitterness in the finish. Once Christmas has passed, it disappears until the following winter.
