🌍 Australia · Mid-Strength Lager · One of 15 Mid-Strength Lagers in hopIQ

A mid-strength lager that ran in Western Australian pubs from 1978 until 2003 and came back to tap in 2023, brewed at Fremantle. The grist is Australian malted barley, the hopping runs on Cluster, and the house yeast carries it. At 3.5 percent the body stays light without thinning out. Pale straw in the glass, with cereal and a soft biscuit note up front, a trace of malt sweetness behind it, and an earthy, mildly resinous bitterness that stays modest through a short, clean finish.
