Momotarō

Portugal·Fruited Smoothie Sour
Tap to rate

Momotarō borrows its name from the Japanese folk hero born from a giant peach. In its backstory, a few tons of peach turn up floating down the river beside the brewery. Peach and passion fruit meet on a Berliner Weisse base, for a thick, pulpy smoothie sour with a gentle tartness. 5% on pilsner, wheat and flaked wheat malts. Vegan.

◐ Taste

Entry is pulpy and full-bodied for its strength, coating the palate with peach and passion fruit purée. Mild tartness develops mid-palate, refreshing without aggression. Low bitterness allows the fruit and soft malt sweetness to coexist, creating a smoothie-like texture that lingers gently.
