Nikšićko Pivo
Nikšićko Pivo inherits the brewing tradition of Nikšić that reaches back to 1896 and the Onogošt brewery of Vuko Jankov Krivokapić. His beer soon dethroned mead, until then the favourite drink of Montenegrins. In 1908 the Trebjesa brewery followed, built by a group of Nikšić merchants and craftsmen, and its name has lasted to this day. The beer long ago crossed the borders of the region and now belongs to the Molson Coors family.
