Kutnohorská Havířská 12

Tap to rate

A semi-dark Vienna-style lager of copper to bronze colour, brewed with Vienna, Munich and caramel malts and hopped with Sládek and Žatec red hops. The name honours the miners, havíři, who in 1492 worked reopened silver mines in Kutná Hora in twelve-hour shifts and would surely have welcomed a beer brewed in their honour.

◐ Taste

Malty entry with pronounced caramel notes from the crystal malts, building into a soft, breadlike mid-palate. The hop bitterness (25 IBU) sits low and restrained, allowing the malt structure to dominate while the Edelhopfen provide a gentle spice-forward finish to each sip. Smooth and well-balanced throughout, with a crisp undertone that prevents heaviness.
