Rebel Brodská 10

Tap to rate

An extra-bitter pale draught beer: clear golden colour, a lively snap, a pleasant, rich hop aroma and a refreshing bitterness. It ferments in open vats and matures cold. In 2025 it won gold in the pale draught category at Žatecká Dočesná, after a second place at České pivo 2024 and a third place at the XXXIV International Beer Festival that year.

Tasting Notes

AI-generated sensory profile for Rebel Brodská 10

◎ Appearance

Crystal-clear golden hue with bright, luminous transparency characteristic of a well-executed pale lager. A dense white head forms with vigorous carbonation and displays excellent schaumhaftung, clinging to the glass walls as the level drops. The lively effervescence indicates proper conditioning and craft in both fermentation and maturation.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced noble hop character—clean, herbaceous, and gently floral, typical of Saaz or similar Czech Edelhopfen varieties. Beneath the hop profile lies a soft, understated malt foundation with hints of grain sweetness that does not dominate. The overall impression is crisp and inviting, with no off-notes or yeast-derived fruitiness.

◐ Taste

Entry is dry and snappy, with a brisk bitterness that immediately commands attention without harshness. Mid-palate shows good balance between lean malt support and persistent hoppy bite; the 30 IBU reads clean and refined rather than aggressive. Finish dries progressively, leaving no residual sweetness—the palate feels refreshed and ready for the next sip.
