Maisel's Weisse Kristall presents a radiant golden-yellow hue with exceptional clarity — light passes straight through without obstruction, a hallmark of the kristallweizen style. The carbonation is notably fine and lively, supporting a delicate, persistent head that clings to the glass with fine lacework.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by yeast-driven esters that register immediately: ripe banana and spice-forward clove leap from the glass. A bright citrus note, leaning distinctly toward lemon, cuts through the phenolic warmth, creating a balanced and inviting aromatic profile that speaks to clean fermentation and wheat grain underneath.

The palate opens with those same yeast characters — banana and clove — held in equilibrium by a crisp, dry wheat backbone. The finish is clean and refreshingly tart, with low bitterness (11 IBU) allowing the fruit esters and grain to dominate without astringency. A restrained sweetness never intrudes; the beer remains aperitif-focused and food-friendly.
