Lost Forty Rockhound IPA

◎ Appearance

Bright golden-yellow with excellent clarity and fine carbonation visible throughout. A white, fine-grained head forms quickly and holds with steady lacing along the glass. The beer presents the classic transparency expected of a West Coast–style IPA.

◌ Aroma

Fresh citrus and pine dominate the nose, with prominent grapefruit and lemon notes backed by herbal, resinous hop character. A clean, moderate malt backbone provides gentle sweetness without overshadowing the Edelhopfen profile. No yeast-derived esters or off-notes; the aroma is straightforward and inviting.

◐ Taste

Citrus and pine carry cleanly into the palate, with grapefruit zest and dried pine needles as the primary flavors. A moderate malt spine provides balanced sweetness that prevents harshness; bitterness arrives measured at 60 IBU, finishing dry and crisp rather than harsh. The beer drinks light yet structured, with good definition between entry and mid-palate.

◑ Finish

The finish is quick and dry, with lingering hop bitterness and a faint citrus resin aftertaste. Clean palate closure leaves no residual sweetness, encouraging another sip.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
