🌍 Germany · Light Lager · One of 53 Light Lagers in hopIQ

Jever Light is the brewery's reduced-alcohol lager at 2.7 percent, a permanent part of the range since 1997. It is brewed from barley malt and hops with a dedicated brewing technique meant to keep the body close to that of the full-strength pilsener. It is pale yellow and clear. The hops read grassy and herbal over a light, grainy malt base; the bitterness is recognisably that of the house but milder and rounder, the middle is thinner, and the finish is short and dry.

Taste

The palate opens with light grain and a smooth entry that respects the reduced alcohol level without sacrificing body. Grassy and herbal bitterness builds through the mid-palate in a rounded, approachable manner—distinctly Jever's signature bitterness but mellower than the full-strength expression. The finish is crisp and dry with a short, clean aftertaste.
