◎ Appearance

A dark mahogany pour that belies the beer's actual weight in the glass. The naturally unfiltered character shows itself in a soft, hazy translucence when held to light, while a fine, persistent head forms and clings to the sides with delicate lacing. Carbonation is gentle and refined, creating a quiet bead that suggests restraint rather than exuberance.

The nose opens with soft, toasted bread crust and a whisper of cocoa—the malt speaks first, but never dominates. Clean fermentation character lifts the bouquet with a subtle fruitiness that prevents any heaviness from settling in. There is no aggressive roast; instead, a gentle, almost biscuity warmth invites closer inspection.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and refreshing, with the roasted malz foundation immediately evident but restrained. The mid-palate reveals the beer's secret: a clean, fruity lift that keeps the dark color from weighing the beer down, while subtle caramel and cocoa notes provide backbone without thickness. Bitterness is minimal and well-integrated, allowing the malt character to remain approachable and balanced.

The finish is clean and relatively short, without the lingering heaviness one might expect from the visual presentation. A pleasant malty dryness persists, with the faintest echo of bread crust and chocolate, leaving the palate refreshed rather than coated.

Serve at 7–9°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.
