Schell's Light

◎ Appearance

Crystal-clear pale straw yellow with bright, lively carbonation. The head forms quickly but settles to a thin, delicate collar that leaves modest lacing on the glass. The body shows excellent clarity throughout, typical of a well-executed light lager.

◌ Aroma

The nose is restrained and clean, with gentle hints of doughy malt and a distant, subtle hop presence. Calypso hops contribute a soft, grassy note without dominating. There is no yeast character or adjunct aroma—the overall impression is one of simplicity and restraint.

◐ Taste

The palate is light-bodied and crisp, opening with a mild malty sweetness that recalls bread and grain. Bitterness remains minimal at 8 IBU, allowing the clean, dry character to emerge in the mid-palate. The finish is notably dry, with no residual sweetness or heavy mouthfeel.

◑ Finish

The aftertaste is short and clean, fading quickly to leave the palate refreshed rather than coated. No lingering hop bite or grain character remains.
