◎ Appearance

Pale golden hue with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent white head that clings to the glass with fine lacing. The carbonation is crisp and lively, generating steady streams of small bubbles that maintain visual liveliness throughout the pour.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with assertive noble hop character—herbal and floral notes with subtle citrus undertones. A vinous, slightly estery quality emerges beneath, supported by clean malt undertones that avoid any coarse grain character, creating a complex and inviting first impression.

◐ Taste

The palate delivers considerable bitterness upfront with a dry, mineral edge that frames the entry. Mid-palate shows fruity, slightly spicy yeast character with lingering citrus notes, while the malt remains restrained and clean, allowing hop bitterness and mineral dryness to define the progression without becoming harsh or astringent.

◑ Finish

The finish is notably long and persistent, with bitterness gradually fading into a mineral, herbal dryness that lingers well after swallowing. The alcohol presence is noticeable but well-integrated, supporting rather than dominating the closing impression.

Warmer than most — 12–14°C. The fruity esters, spice and warming alcohol need room to breathe.

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.
