Beers similar to XXXX Bitter

Australian Lager·Australia·4.4% ABV·One of 45 Australian Lagers in hopIQ·

hopIQ found 10 beers that share XXXX Bitter's bitter and malty character. XXXX Bitter has been brewed to the same recipe since 1924 and remains the full-strength lager of Queensland pubs. Australian malted barley and Queensland cane sugar build a light, grainy malt base, while Golden Cluster and Superpride of Ringwood hops carry the bitterness. The aroma runs to cracker-like grain and a faint honeyed sweetness, with a dry herbal, slightly resinous hop note behind it. The finish is clean and crisp, with a firm bitterness that lingers.
