Beers similar to Tooheys New
hopIQ found 10 beers that share Tooheys New's bready and dry character. Tooheys New has been brewed since 1931, when the Surry Hills brewery followed its ales and porters with a lager for the first time. It pours pale gold and stays light in body. The malt brings bread crust and a restrained grain sweetness, and behind it sits a delicate floral, herbal hop aroma. Bitterness is moderate, the finish dry and clean rather than sweet. Across New South Wales it remains the default beer on tap.
