A two-mash process with three malts gives a warm copper to hazelnut brown under a stable cream-coloured head. The nose brings nutty and toasted notes, dark bread, orange, ripe apple and plum over fine caramel. The palate opens sweetish then turns roasty, and a high degree of attenuation leaves a clearly perceptible bitterness and a clean finish. Brewed at 13.8 degrees Plato.
