Founded in November 1999 as one of Las Vegas's first craft breweries — named for its original location on Tenaya in the northwest of the city. After several years as a restaurant-brewery, the kitchen closed in 2008 to focus entirely on beer, expanding distribution across Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Canada. Their Pilsner won gold at the 2002 GABF for European-Style Pilsner, and their Hefeweizen won gold at the 2001 International Beer Festival Best in Show. Now part of the Beer Zombies Brewing family, Tenaya Creek beers are even found on Allegiant Airlines western routes.
