Deep black-brown color with minimal light transmission, characteristic of a high-gravity imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels. A thin tan head forms initially but dissipates quickly, leaving minimal lacing on the glass. Low carbonation is evident, with the body appearing thick and viscous.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by rich bourbon barrel character with prominent vanilla and oak notes emerging first. Deep roasted malt, dark chocolate, and espresso create a complex foundation, while subtle dark fruit undertones add sophistication. The alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, inviting further exploration.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with bold roasted chocolate and coffee flavors, transitioning to rich dark chocolate and bourbon barrel vanilla in the mid-palate. A warming alcohol presence enhances the full-bodied experience without harsh edges, while moderate bitterness (60 IBU) provides balance. Dark fruit notes emerge subtly, adding depth to the massive flavor profile.

The finish is long and warming with lingering oak, vanilla, and roasted notes that persist for minutes. A pleasant alcohol warmth settles into the chest, leaving behind smooth chocolate and subtle drying sensations.
