◎ Aussehen

Deep black-brown with a thin tan head that settles to a wispy collar. The beer holds excellent clarity despite its dark roast character, with minimal sediment. Carbonation is moderate and fine, creating a composed visual presence without aggressive activity.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with rich mocha and nutty earth, anchored by roasted grain without harshness. Espresso and cocoa dust emerge as the beer warms, layered with subtle dark-fruit notes—dried blueberry and blackberry—that suggest complexity beyond simple roast. Light spice undertones (cinnamon, clove) add dimension without becoming prominent.

◐ Geschmack

The palate unfolds in stages: chocolate-covered berries arrive first, followed by a middle register of caramel and cocoa that deepens as the beer warms. Banana and dried blueberry notes shift in prominence with temperature, creating an evolving tasting experience. Light bitterness and a drying roast character provide structure without aggression, leading smoothly toward the close.

◑ Abgang

The finish is clean and deliberate, with roast dryness pulling through without harshness. A subtle berry sweetness lingers briefly before fading to a composed aftertaste of cocoa and grain.

Etwas wärmer als erwartet. 10–13°C lässt die gerösteten Malz-, Schokoladen- und Kaffeenoten vollständig entfalten.
