Amager Bryghus HR Pils

The HR Pils snaps with a sharp, almost electric bite of noble hops right up front. There's a minerality to it that feels clean and articulate—like the brewers were trying to get you to taste every single aspect of the beer separately. It's got a thinner body than you'd expect, which makes that hop presence feel even more pronounced. Finishes crisp and slightly peppery, with a faint metallic edge that keeps you reaching for another sip.

Wittmann Premium Extra Pils

Wittmann's version is softer in the hand. The hops are there—same IBU as the Amager—but they're woven into the beer rather than stacked on top. You get more of that classic Pilsner bread-and-honey malt character, which gives it a subtle sweetness that the HR Pils deliberately avoids. It's got a bit more body, a bit more texture. The finish is smooth, almost creamy, without any sharp edges.
