Known for Vienna Lager

Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma is a major Mexican brewery founded in 1890 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, by a group of investors including José A. Muguerza and Francisco G. Sada Muguerza, initially producing the Carta Blanca brand. The brewery expanded significantly over the following century, and in 1985 merged with the Moctezuma brewery — adding brands such as Dos Equis, Sol, Superior, and Noche Buena to its portfolio. In 2010, Heineken International acquired the brewery as part of its purchase of FEMSA's beer operations, making it a Heineken subsidiary. Today it operates plants across Mexico and produces a wide portfolio including Tecate, Bohemia, Indio, and Casta.
