Founded in October 2012 by John Martin and Ken Broadhead just south of downtown Des Moines where the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers meet. Lead Brewer Andrew Bishop came from Allagash Brewing in Maine. Their Beer-A-Week Initiative releases at least one new beer every week year-round. The Des Moines IPA accounts for about 40% of total sales and won the inaugural Iowa Beer Brackets competition in 2017 with Capital Gold Lager.
