Rarach

Tap to rate

Grainy and malty, with full flavour and a pronounced bitterness. The idea for this 10° Czech lager came from guests of the brewery, and the name was picked from suggestions by locals, not only from Slaný. It is brewed from two malts, Bavarian and Pilsner, and hopped with two Žatec hop varieties. It became a favourite in the warm summer months.

◐ Taste

Entry is malty and full-bodied, with a solid grain backbone that develops into a pronounced, sustained bitterness mid-palate. The two malt varieties provide depth and a slightly sweet foundation that contrasts pleasantly with the crisp, noble-hop bite. Carbonation enhances the refreshing quality, keeping the palate clean and preventing any flabbiness despite the full mouthfeel.
