Deep mahogany to near-black color with a burgundy hue at the edges when held to light. A modest tan head forms and recedes quickly, leaving minimal lacing on the glass. The beer appears bright and clear, with fine carbonation evident in a steady stream of small bubbles.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced roasted barley and coffee grounds, layered with dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Subtle toasted grain and a hint of dark fruit—plum or raisin—emerge beneath. The overall character is clean and malt-forward, with no yeast esters or phenolic notes interfering.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and balanced, with roasted malt and coffee flavors building immediately on the palate. Mid-palate reveals rich chocolate and subtle bitterness from the roasted character, while a light dryness develops toward the swallow. The 22 IBU remain restrained, allowing the malt profile to dominate without harshness.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and medium in length, with lingering roasted and cocoa notes fading to a dry, slightly bitter aftertaste. No astringency or harshness remains.
