◎ Aussehen

Deep amber to light copper in the glass, with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent head that clings to the sides with good Schaumkleiden. The color reflects the toasted Malz character without opacity, and carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by distinctive beech-wood smoke — neither acrid nor overwhelming, but integral to the identity. Beneath the smoke lies a foundation of warm, toasted Malz with subtle caramel sweetness and earthy undertones that ground the composition.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is smooth and malty, with the smoke character translating cleanly from nose to palate without harshness. Mid-palate shows substantial body and a gentle sweetness that balances the smoke; the finish carries bready, roasted notes with a restrained bitterness (22 IBU) that never dominates. The overall impression is one of harmony — smoke as a voice rather than a shout.

◑ Abgang

The finish is medium-length, with smoke character persisting gently into the aftertaste. A touch of drying, earthy character and subtle roasted grain fade to a clean, warming close.
