◎ Aussehen

Deep amber to copper-brown with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent head that builds and sustains itself across the glass. The carbonation is moderate and even, creating a gentle lift that supports the dense foam collar. Lacing clings deliberately to the sides with each sip.

◌ Aroma

Beechwood smoke arrives first—dry, woody, and slightly spicy—but yields quickly to warm caramel and toasted grain beneath. A subtle earthiness and honey sweetness emerge on the second nose, grounding the smoke in malt depth rather than novelty. No sharp phenolic edges; the smoke integrates as a natural voice in the beer's character.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with smoke and malt sweetness in equal measure, neither dominating the other. Mid-palate develops a toasted, slightly roasted character with honey notes and a gentle bready warmth that recalls a classic Märzen. Bitterness is restrained at 22 IBU, allowing the malt and smoke to finish their conversation without interruption.

The finish is dry and lingering, with smoke and caramel notes fading gradually into a warm, slightly spicy aftertaste. No harshness or astringency; the beer closes as gracefully as it opens.
